Can We Talk?
Every dog is different, each with its own unique personality, and every behavioral issue is different in every dog. Behavioral problems develop for various or specific reasons. In some cases it may be a combination of events, related or unrelated, which lead to a certain behavior, (ie. being barked at, lunged at, frightened by different dogs). While in other cases it may be a single event (ie. being attacked once by another dog). Understanding your dogs unique personality and finding the root cause of an unwanted behavior, is the key to positive treatment and results, and that is where I come in.

To determine the root cause of your dogs problematic behavior, I will set up an initial consultation in your home, where I will put your dog "on the couch" so to speak. I will take a complete history of your dog as far as age, health, history (rescue, shelter, abuse, etc.), its current lifestyle and any other pertinent information you can give me. After the history is taken, we will go into the details of the problem behavior; onset, length of time, progression, severity - plus any and all other details and concerns you can share with me. I will be observing your dog while we take the history and details and then I will work with it to see where I can get initially within the first visit.

After the initial consultation I will put together my findings and develop a positive-only treatment plan for you right there on the spot. After this initial evaluation and treatment, there will be followup visits only if/as needed. Meanwhile, it will be your job to continue the treatment plan we set up without missing a beat. The ONLY way a treatment plan will work is if it is followed consistently and repeatedly until the desired results are achieved. That will be your job at home.

We have a variety of treatment plans and options we offer, dependent on your dog(s) individual needs. In the case of puppies who need puppy training on a number of behaviors over time, I will typically recommend a package at the first visit and spread them out over a little time as the puppy grows up.

- INITIAL IN-HOME CONSULT
Rather than sell you a package of sessions up-front, I prefer to start with an initial In-Home or Zoom/Phone Consult to see what's going on. Some cases only require a single initial In-Home or Zoom/Phone consult, with client training, and without the need for follow-ups. In these cases I am always available for advice via phone call afterwards. After the Initial Consult we will know better what we are dealing with and if more sessions are needed, If so I will recommend follow-up visits.

- FOLLOW-UP VISITS
There are a number of different packages with Follow-Up options to choose from, again depending on what we determine on the first visit. I will be available for as many visits as you need, until you are comfortable that your dog is on its way and you don't need me any more. Of course I will always be available for you and your dog whenever you need me!
